Keeping Her Passion Alive
Lindsey Sowles...an active 21-year-old on the brink of an exciting future, whose passion for nurturing relationships and helping others led to an interest in nursing. But a few months before she hoped to start in the nursing program at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, she lost her short, but courageous, battle with soft tissue sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
Lindsey's Hope Nursing Scholarship Fund has been set up to keep her memory alive and to honor her life and her legacy. This scholarship will be awarded based on on merit, financial need and availability of funds to candidates who are currently enrolled in a certified nursing program or are certified nurses seeking continuing education credits. The candidate must hold a minimum 3.0 GPA for all completed college courses, demonstrate a personal and active faith in Christ, and display a history of life activity that reflects love and compassion for others through their service for those in need.
