I have always wanted to help people. It wasn't until I graduated from California Lutheran University that I realized that I was interested in becoming a nurse.  

I wanted to make a greater impact in peoples lives by showing them love and compassion.  I will be forever grateful for this scholarship in allowing me to start my nursing career.

Katie graduated from College of the Desert with an Associates in Nursing in May of 2011. She used the Lindsey's Hope scholarship for her RN-NCLEX licensure examination and other fees associated with becoming a new nurse.
